It started in 2018 when God decided to introduce himself to me from a blunt. I was in Beaumont Texas at Lamar University, constantly drinking and smoking living with no sense of purpose.
However, one day I had found myself getting sick and decided to smoke by myself, and I turned on the Tv to watch my favorite show at the time called Daredevil. And as I'm watching the show, the character on the tv is cursing God and in that exact moment I feel a dark and weary feeling trying to come over me.
The Lord put in my mind to grab my Bible and turn to Psalms 23 and as I am reading it out loud, the dark and weary feeling instantly left. I knew something was up, when I started to have all types of crazy thoughts coming to my head, thoughts I would never think of. So I started to think..if anyone could save my mind, it would be Jesus himself. And In that exact moment, the Lord decided to meet me where I was at and He spoke to me in a small still voice saying "Follow me, I want you to preach the Gospel" and I responded on my dorm room bed saying.. "I'll do it".
In that moment, is when I knew that Lord was real for myself and that life was bigger than my own, and I would make it my personal mission to tell people about the Gospel of Christ.. So when it comes to winning a soul, remember the things God has done for you, it doesn't have to be big but just know what you have experienced can help someone else on their journey...
